Aluminium pouches are not recycled in the U.K., this is because they are a composite product, a layer of plastic covered with a layer of aluminium. There are a handful of recyclers attempting to rectify this, at a cost to the disposer, it’s not 100% effective and requires a great deal of energy as well as us collecting the waste from the customer and getting it to the recycler, yet more processes, yet more energy.

So we’ve made this. 100% recyclable and 100% re-useable. 1 litre aluminium bottles, food grade, compostable labels (other than the duty sticker! But we will be contacting the HMRC about that) at 1L and 60% ABV its equivalent to two regular 700ml bottles of 40% ABV gin.
